Full-Time Bookkeeper
Candidate will be responsible for the monthly client write-up work which includes, but is not limited to, coding expenses, reconciling bank statements, preparing journal entries, and preparing monthly sales tax returns. Candidate will also be responsible for processing weekly client payroll. Candidate will answer telephones and assist with front desk. Candidate must be a self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions when necessary.
Qualifications:
Bookkeeping experience - bank statement reconciliation, journal entries, sales tax returns. Candidate must have understanding of debits and credits and how they relate to the general ledger.
Payroll experience - calculating, processing and printing payroll checks, calculate payroll tax deposits, and prepare quarterly payroll tax returns.
Experience with Excel and Word.
Education:
Associates Degree in Accounting preferred, but not necessary with appropriate work experience. 3 - 5 years work experience in a similar environment.
